Before the exams...

It has been a real long time since i last blogged in August. Not that i do not want to blog, but there are numerous reasons to why. I was quite involved in hall activities, work is piling up and stuff. I almost forgot my password too. I attempted more than 5 times before i managed to log in now.

Many things happened in this period and the reason i am blogging is sort of to retain the memories i have (memories will fade... :()

First, I joined KRX, Geographical Society and NUSBF.

KRX is Kent Ridge Hall Drama Group and I managed to squeeze my way in after 2.5 rounds of auditions. The 3rd round was a fake and w total SET-UP. I am now the vice-president of KRX!  I performed for Star-to-Burst (a drama performance to perform for the seniors) and it reminded me of the days in secondary school and JC where i joined ELDDS and Chinese Society. I was acting as a 'Flirt' and it was quite a nice experience to act something out of the normal self! Culture Night was next, a performance by all KR Culture Groups, with KRX as the linking factor. It was a staged performance and as the play proceeds, different culture groups will perform. I was the director for the whole performance. Me and Audrey (my scriptwriter) also act a minor part, for FUN. We were acting as irritating nerdy twins! Looking forward to next year's Drama Festival - I will be the coordinator for KR hall.

Geographical Society was my NUS outside hall CCA. I am also the vice-president of GS.  We are now in the midst of preparing for Geography Challenge, a major event hosted by us every year. Jade and John (the head and secretary respectively) are doing such a wonderful job so far! Jia You! Happy belated birthday John! Thanks for uploading the photos  Talking about GS, me, Yuna and Jiaqi went to hear a leadership talk on a Friday! I love the éclairs!

NUSBF. I am so sorry that I cannot contribute much to this group! Much apologies to Wenjian!

Cambodia’s recce trip was a real eye opener to me. Though it was only a recce trip, it was truly an eye opener! It was heartwarming to see the kids at CDV though. It was a GREAT GREAT EXPERIENCE that i cannot describe in words. U must feel it for yourself. I will not forget that we were rushing our Geog Project on our 3rd day there!

And i failed my driving.

Life has been very interesting given my first year in NUS with all the CCAs and new friends made. Life is not at all about studying and mugging! But to some extent, this interesting life of mine will affect my grades... I personally don’t really have high hopes about my grades (now). Shit. Exams are looming and all the best to everyone (including me).
